Need to be free, just for even a weekend, in search of the self...

FEEL THE NEED…

Dear friends of Authors Den,

I do find myself feeling the need,

To take some time off, yes indeed,

Not to write, well not to post,

Feels really right, yes really the most…

Want some time, to myself,

To get in touch more with the self,

Maybe better yet to find a part of me,

A part that may be lost, or forgotten, hope you can see?

Will write, and later on post,

Unless I feel better sooner than I thought,

Maybe its just loneliness,

Or the urge to wander, an urge I have of late, fought,

Either way, I just need to myself, some time, some thought, something sought…

I guess I also feel, yes I must fess up,

That my poetry is not very good, as I used to think,

It comes in spurts; it comes in stages,

Most, it seems should go down the sink…

Garbage is what it is - yes trash to be shredded,

Or cooked over an open fire and breaded,

Maybe it will all taste better with unleaded…

We all need time away to gain perspective Ed!
Thoughts get muddled, sometimes even one day
and everything looks brighter. Let yourself
enjoy the time away whatever length it is.You'll
come back refreshed, and your poems will look
good to you;-)Take care!
