Not the best family oriented poem, as it is kinda dark about my past and it hurts to recall it, but sometimes it seems to be the best self therapy

Eddie M. . Seven…

Didja see Eddie M. trying to learn to ride his bike?

He fell on the ground so many times; it was really quite funny,

One time he hit the ground but not on his butt, on his head,

Boy did he cry, so much like an ailing bunny…

His dad did desert him, his mom too,

They left him to cry, they looked all embarrassed, more so than Eddie, as well,

The bicycle they did take, more upset was Eddie about that,

Said if he can’t ride it, he doesn’t deserve it, Eddie cried more, he was only seven…

His parents were miserable people, everyone knew it, no one liked to visit poor Eddie,

His mother would curse and drink and take pills, saying they kept her steady,

When his dad got home, he just fought with Eddie’s mommy, making Eddie cry more,

Don’t hurt my mom, therein he got hit, knocked across the room, banged his head,

This time on the heater, he did not wake till the next day in the hospital,

Parents claimed he fell down the steps from the third floor apartment,

Must have hurt said the doctor with a suspicious look on his face…

But back then, things like that, especially with Eddie and his parents were normal,

Never was anything written down, never was anything made formal,

He would just come back the next time “he did hurt himself”, so clumsy was he, per his mother…

Awwww hugs to Eddie!!

I know how this must of felt Ed!! Been there myself....thinking how the heck must I learn how to do a thing without falling first!! The lessons of life right? No wonder our generation still suffers to gain self-love and self respect....people keep on telling us we behave like babies all the time.....God if it hurts it hurts but we just have to get up and do it again and again till we do it right...right?

With all respect.....I know this was damn hard on you buddy!!

Love Tinka

~*~ Ed... I Suffered The Same Horrid Violence And Severe Physical Beatings And Emotional Abuse Everyday From My Alcoholic, Pill Popping, Crude And Hateful 'Parents'... They Constantly Left Me With My Alcoholic Perverted Grandfather To Be Abused In Sick Ways By Him From The Time I Was A Toddler, On Up Through My Later Childhood When I Could Finally Fight Him Off. Whenever My Parents Went Anywhere They Left Me With My Sick Pervert Grandfather, Even When I Told Them What He Was Doing To Me. I Finally Ran Away from Home For Good At Age 17 And Have Never Had Anythng To Do With My Parents Or Relatives Since Then. And, They ALL Say That I Am The Bad Child Because I Ran Away From Their Daily Hellish Violence And Foul Abuse Of Me When I Was Finally Well Into Age 17! {I'm Now Well Into My 40's} My Parents Did Not Even Own One Book. I Have Always Been A Very Prolific Reader And Now Have Thousands Of Books. I Have Always Also Been A Sensitive Spiritual And Mystical Person From Childhood And Throughout My Life. I Am An Organic Vegan... I Love ALL Animals~Creatures As Radiant Spiritual Beings... And I Abhor Violence, Materialism, Exploitation, Pollution.
