Custard Stop…(another story with Rufuz)
Rufuz was as good as gold and better,
He even didn’t try to make it with an Irish setter,
Played on the beach they did, got sandy & eventually wetter…
Saying his farewells to the setter, she certainly was a tease,
We set off for home, accompanied by an ocean breeze,
Rufuz not happy about leaving the beach, he tried to hide my keys,
So I told him; no, I asked him quite nicely, if I could have them please?
We went to the custard stand he loves so,
For ice cream and custard and snacks we did go,
He asked for vanilla custard in a shell,
He got what he wanted; I got the banana split to go…
Sloppy though he is, made the back seat look white,
But still he licked it off, cleaning the seat in the process, he did only what’s right,
My split did dribble all over me, damn hard to drive and eat ice cream,
But Rufuz did help, he came up and licked, I really could do nothing but scream,
In laughter, his tongue it did tickle my beard, luckily I did not run into the stream…
