Day After Yesterday

Somedays my lil' writers elf cannot be quelled unless I write and write and write,
Then of course just add to my site...

Day After Yesterday…

Today or a reasonable facsimile thereof,

It has arrived, has come forth, has become,

The day it is just about okay, or some,

Look forward to it we do, till it arrives,

Then we again look forward to the morrow…

Here we go again, speaking in riddles in public,

But better than to speak in circles in pubic,

As it seems so many often do, like dealing with a cubic,

From the manufacturers of the rubik…

Lost am I in my dealings with the yesterday and today,

Past it past, no changing it, future is future, yet to be cast,

Present is today, that being the way, to fix any problems so they don’t last,

Here is hoping that today we see no blasts,

Nor in the near future for that matter, as that would make me aghast…

Where does one go from the point that they cannot continue?

Back to their beginnings, to the past that is again so past,

Or try to imagine what the future holds, dreaming again,

Might as well, in all honesty, just this poem discontinue…

Is that like if you buy me a hamburger today, I'll pay you back tomorrow? If so, I'll take mine with extra pickles.

I try not to look back because then I will see the trouble thats following me....looking forward is a disaster....cause the fifty thing is waiting with teeth longer than my past!! Now What?

Past is Past; the future is tomorrow,
Push On; no regrets, never any sorrow.

Ed, sounds good to me. Does this mean that if we make the best of today then we don't have to worry about yesterday today?

Future: The Spiritual Story of Humanity by Glenn Martin

Histories of the world are generally written to either celebrate technology and science, or to herald doom. My book examines the path of the spirit in the onward rush.
