Too Sensitive

Get a life or get a clue...

Too Sensitive…?

Can you accept or do you disdain the truth?

Can you be told you have no couth?

Unless you are not able to deal, maybe you are a youth,

Or maybe you are able to do so being long in the tooth…

Yes again herein I do discuss,

The making of an exodus; what is all the fuss?

Everyday there are problems, what can one do?

Maybe just give up on life and live in a zoo?

Or better yet get a life or just get a clue…

We all have our morals; our decisions we make are ours,

We try as we may to live in a world that devours,

Each and every thought we have, sometimes also our powers,

I guess it would be best if we just moved into a tower,

To live out our life, without any flowers,

And while away the unending hours…

I have to agree with Thomas. We are already living in a zoo!
One day, though, things will be drastically different, but we
have to trust in a power higher than ourselves and our infinitely
small human 'wishes.'

Good poem, Ed.

Hee, hee, when I get in my tower can you tie a basket of food to the end of my rope every once in a while? Just kidding. If I can't smell the coffee, then I shouldn't drink it?

Excellent write Ed! It would be nice if everyone could
feel like this, but we are not all alike and we
should accept and respect each others differences!
