I don't know what to consider this, category wise...?

Chemical Depression…

This I have got,

Had it, supposedly, since I was a tot,

Did not know it then,

Wish I did when I was just ten,

For as a child,

I was extremely wild…

Medications now keepin’ me mellow,

Along with classical music from a cello,

Still in all, the dragon of depression,

Does rear its ugly head,

Even when I am happy and willing to say hello,

I may seem to you to be a fine fellow,

But not at that time,

I am then likened to just a bowl of quivering jello…

If you add some fruit to your quivering and a dollop of mayo on top, I'll eat you for lunch, Eddie M... I have learned, through life, that your quivering can subside with a very firm, very warm, very caring HUG! So open those arms, step closer and squeeeeeeeeeeze! It works every time... promise! (Just ask my son!) smile. You are a hero to me, just as Adam is, for doing battle with these depressions and emerging with your humor intact and your outlook ready for tomorrow. You are loved, Eddie M... just look around. Seeeee? katy xox.

We all have our maladies, Ed. Nothing to be ashamed of, and hope you always continue to be Happy and Mellow; that ain't a bad way to be. And there is, of course, Always Room for Jello!

Great expression. I'm glad the meds work for you. Meds and music... a good combination.

Glad you have found an answer, some never do. Don't worry about being happy all the time, sometimes we have to allow for other feelings too.
