Knowledge of Poetry Not Required…

No knowledge do we need,

To write poetry, no indeed,

I give you my site, as example regards this lack,

My knowledge of poetry, seems to, off, a great amount of slack,

So when you do read my poetry, please remember and recall,

My lack again of knowledge, and once more will I use, my lack of total recall…

I do not seem to be the only one afflicted with this disease,

I try herein to write, to otherwise make you laugh and appease,

I know you sometimes must ask yourself, why does he write, oh please,

Stop this silly writing, Ed, you are showing of yourself a total lack of expertise…

If this poem is of humor, I will eat my hat,

If this poem be philosophical, I will ingest an angora cat,

If this poem finds you in a romantic mood, I will use my tongue, wherever it’s at,

On my face you may find yourself, with me on my back, yes that will be where you finally sat…

So to write poetry, we need not any knowledge,

No we do not need to go to any high school or college,

For poetry is but what we feel, what we are, what we want, & where we have been,

Poetry is what we do, when it was done, and about those that got some…

                Poetry just is…
