The Self Comes First

Anna Marie Fritz is taking her leave of us on the DEN, she will stop back, but still it leaves a hole in our hearts...

The Self Comes First…

Many do leave, but soon return,

Out on their own they are to learn,

Don’t want them to leave we do yearn,

We have so much for friends, concern…

Needing to expand their personal horizons,

To find their muse, to see in the world, what they can use,

So much talent they have, and have learned with us all,

What can we do when they leave, just have a good cry, yes we do ball…

Life goes on, we will recall, but also know,

Like children they need their space,

We will always be here for them to return,

As usual it is, the self does ultimately come first…

Wish them well we do in their travels near and far,

They have become friends and family, they have become a star,

Some have written humor, some romance, others have really gone bizarre,

So we wish them well, send them on their way and basically just say,

                            Au revoir…

The ache is subdued, Ed, but this is surely from the tenderest place in your heart... there are, indeed, things that move us... you've written this so well. A melancholy being, you are... it will touch her. It did me. katy xox.
