Fogged In

Psychology, philosophy, metaphysical, metabolic, I got colic, who the hell knows where I am coming from or where I am going...?

Poem Artwork

Fogged In…

Fogged in is my mind,

This known by me most of the time,

No place to get out of the fog,

Not even if I go higher I cannot climb,

Over or above, as this fogbank is in my mind…

Is it fog or is it smoke?

From all those times I did take a toke,

Is this good or bad, depends on to whom I spoke,

This is not a good or even a relatively sad joke,

Fortunately not caused by doing any bad coke…

So when discussing with me the value of pie,

Remember that my mind does go off,

And sometimes does fly into the sky,

Like a winged bird, with no mind, I really don’t know why…?

What the hell was I saying herein again?

Who are you all that I am talking too?

Where am I, who am I, what is this place I have come to be in?

You not alone on this one Ed!!
Look around you there are many of us having the same foggy problem...mine seems to be my teary eyes most of the time...but after a good old "I feel sorry for myself crying session" I can see things so much clearer!!
Keep your head high Buddy~!

Pretty meta fizical, Ed. A good cup of hot coffee will clear the fog out. The cobwebs might require a French maid.

Cute lines....

"Is it fog or is it smoke?
From all those times I did take a toke..."

Probably smoke then and fog now.

Enjoyed.

Excellent depiction of being "out of it"! My advice
stay there! With the way things are today, the fog
is a friend!;-)Let yourself heal Ed! I agree with Katy!

My dear Ed... you may very well be unequalled when you scrape your depths, mindful of being poetic, accessible and absolutely honest when you give yourself over to a piece.. it makes for damned readable verse. I have only cliches to describe my feelings, looking at that picture, so I'll simply say it moved me. Your poem went straight to my insides. Am I looking too closely? I don't think so. This is one of your best, in my opinion. katy xox.

Where am I, who am I,

Ah, the Age Old question asked by many a fine philosopher. Who Knows? Is usually the only applicable answer. The Fog will lift, and you will see the sun again.

PS I had a bad Coke once. I left it out in the sun far too long. Yuck! I only drink coffee now.
