Writers do write, poets do poet(ry), authors do author, me I'm just here to philosophize till you get your fill...

Rhyme, Rhythm & Reason…

What we as poets and writers do shoot for,

What we muse about, what we find in our mind store,

Everything we do, we have and haven’t done, or ignore,

Find do we, while writing, “poeting” & doing what we adore…

Poetic license is ours; we have taken the test,

We have written and wondered if our writes are right,

Yes we have, we have worried and more than once have we stressed,

We have written in humor, yes quite a lot I have done in jest,

Written we have of depression, when we found we were depressed,

Found we have a quest, when we did some writes in protest,

Done other things where we have found we did acquiesce,

Other times we were not, but maybe should have been, put under arrest,

Yes, I do hereby most stringently attest…

When we write, we do so of ill will, or Nature, or drinking from the still,

We write of our hopes, our fears, our problems, our families so dear,

We write of things close to our hearts, near and far never to depart,

We write of children, adults, lovers & leavers, things we have done from the start,

We write of ballgames, happiness, sadness, friends and foe,

We write “FROM” our hearts, to others hearts, and about lost parts…

Suffice to say we write in rhyme, reason, rhythm and song,

We will do this till we die, never to end, never to stop too long…
