Where Does the Time Go…?

Woke up at eight,

So I wouldn’t be late,

Hit every light,

Stopped at the bridge gate,

The bridge was raised,

A large ship in the channel,

Seems that captain is driving,

Like a cow coming in from being grazed…

Never now will I make it,

My time so short, maybe I can fake it,

Still gonna take me some time, but only just a bit,

Wish these people would get their butts in gear,

I may not be able to fly, as I don’t have a Lear,

But I certainly can move a bit faster, the road up ahead so clear…

Why is it that every time I find myself in a hurry,

I run into traffic making me upset and become blurry,

Rufuz in the back, his hair flying all about, wish he was not so furry,

I swear to all that’s holy that I could make it faster if I drove a surrey…

Oh geez I finally did arrive, hope who it is I came to see is still alive,

It has taken like forever to get here, normally a short thirty-minute drive,

I am half an hour late, hard to believe I did make it at all; yes I did survive,

The drivers out there surely made me late, made me quite irate,

Wish just once I could be given or get a break…

Wise words.
Time is flying. Whether we live it to the fullest or just survive our days with pleasant and unpleasant moments. It only stands still for me whenever I am at the dentist !!!!!
Good one.

Someone once told me "Slow down...you'll get there quicker!"
But, like you Ed, I have a lead foot. Hee hee...and the
traffic in Green Bay, Wisconsin is probably almost as bad as
yours.

Thanks for the smile!
