One day, then the Next

A humorist, philosopher and Nature writer with a dog known for his pet writes too...

One day, then the Next…

One day I feel in a humorous mood,

Tending towards comical writes, trying not to be rude,

Also I try so very hard, but sometimes don’t do well, not to be anywhere near crude…

Then the next day I am more inclined to write in a philosophical vein,

Not trying to blow my own horn as it were,

But I think I do well therein, without being vain,

Don’t, do I, try to write philosophy that maybe altogether arcane,

Just would like to spell it out, my internal feelings, as they are so plain,

I don’t seem to write much of anything else, but then again,

There is the poetry of Nature, another of my better writes,

If I do say so myself, and I do, as it is only right…

I round off my pet writes as being in the humor category as well,

Therein it is Rufuz that really does excel,

He writes about himself, about his master, about his life,

He writes sometimes to rebel, others to tell me how I am swell,

Sometimes he just writes to tell how badly I do smell,

He is such a good dog, one that really makes my life so much more fun than raising hell…

Ahhhhhh... Eddie M.. you're a man with many hats, varied views and words comin' outta your head at locomotive speed. Somehow, you get them all organized into delightful, thoughtful pieces of writing. You're just plain swell! (I hear Ruffie is up for a Pulitzer.. does he know?) LOL. katy xox.

I think your Nature writes are supurb; and Rufuz has to be one of the best canine observers of the human condition that I have ever read!

Nice write, Ed. Moods change like the weather, and our writing is there to reflect our true nature. Life would feel lonely without good (human or pet) compagnons. Take care and enjoy the summer. Franz
