I Wish

The few days without phone service got to me, I wrote a lot with out meaning, but some things then again, meant too much...

I Wish…

Wish I did have Superman’s powers,

To see through the wall, I would not then cower,

Behind closed doors, my computer my link,

To an outside existence, comes and goes in a blink…

Time is fleeting; we have heard it all,

No chance we do have of climbing the wall,

Fearful though I may be, no place for me to crawl,

Wish just once I had the courage to go to a mall…

So many faces, so many smells,

Too many faces, to many Orwell’s,

Too much for my meager brain to process,

1984 come and gone, I cannot deal with the world in such a mess…

Camera’s portraying the world at war,

Mostly showing what I find to be a bore,

Frightens me it does right down to my core,

Wish sometimes I could move on, but I find that I am too poor…

Even with my dog, I seem to find loneliness,

No body to talk to, no one to listen to my regrets,

No emails coming in, no letters nor calls can I receive,

Wish I do from this life of pain and torture,

I could be given a general reprieve…

My dear Eddie M, this just broke my heart... were you in driving distance, I'd have baked us a cake (don't be afraid hehe) and some of my famous goulash (stop snickering!) and I would have been at your door bright and early, so we could spend the whole day correcting other people's English and grammar and cheering ourselves up! (grin) Sigh... but your lonliness isn't funny... c'mere, gimme a hug! katy xox.

Wish just once I had the courage to go to a mall…

Can understand the rest of this rant, but, please, Ed, don't go to that mall whatever you do. I've been avoiding them for years now.

The poem is great. But then, I always like your work. To me, the gem here is the note at the top. Some things meant too much... Great job.

Ed...if you aren't part of the crowd here with Bi-Polar
affliction (like me)...I'll eat Bambo's horns!
Please read my articles on them...here on the Den...I
think you may be pleasantly surprised at their content.
BTW...I am in this same kind of mood today...and understand
you thoroughly.
