Another written in a funk, when my phone was off, no way to get to the internet, my life washing away in strife...

Staying Occupied…

Gotta occupy my mind, else I will find insanity,

Insanity in life or in a place I will find for my idiocy,

Allowing it to overflow, my mind a raging river of torrent,

My synapses firing, giving me all manner of inspiration,

My breathing in rapid succession, so fast my respiration…

Find do I my brain in a permanent bog,

Held back from the non-sensical, the comedic, humor that I today lack,

Can’t, can I, find humor in this situation till it ends, now looking black,

Someday I will recall this and then laugh while looking back,

But for now, my tendencies are to get high and sleep like a log…

Fear I do have, of going on without my addiction herein,

Attached I am to this electronic piece of machinery,

Wish I could for just this night, re-find that of my chicanery,

Yes, my humor seems to have taken flight…

No phone to call out, no phone to receive calls in,

No computer to be attached to, all this allowing to crawl, my skin,

Cannot, can I, just this moment in time, relax, be less stressed,

I cannot find within the self, the power to be less than oppressed,

Without my phone service, no computer to use and access…

At the risk of sounding like my old "suzy sunshine" self, your (literal) pen loses nothing while the 'puter sits dormant... this is good stuff, poetically speaking, Eddie M. From the ashes sometimes rises something that startles and amazes us... like a Phoenix, you've come again! Welcome 'home'... katy xox.

Hope you're laughing already, my friend, and hope you slept like a log, and about getting high, well, that, too!
