When Strikes the Mood

Just me speaking to the self, the "id" or whosoever is listening...

When Strikes the Mood…

I never seem to notice mood,

In poems by others, myself being usually so dark,

People do say that they can see a dark mood,

I can only see what the person does write,

No reading do I do between the lines…

Blank space does appear betwixt the lines,

I see nothing on the average short of rhymes,

The poet does write of emotions,

The future or past spoken of sometimes,

Past knowledge passed on of ancient crimes…

Wish I do that I had the ability,

To see what others see when reading anything not silly,

To notice how one person does come across,

To realize when another does show themselves to be chilly…

Sometimes the only thing between the lines - is empty white space, so I doubt if you're missing too much, Ed.

Just write as ther heart dictates.

Appreciate all the different forms, unique to each.

Don't know if it's just me, but the poetry on AD has been somewhat outstanding of late, it's way past midnight, infact past 2 am, and still reading..

Don't worry about it, Ed... I think, sometimes, the stuff between the lines is there because even the writer doesn't really 'get it'... Carry on... Maybe this will help: overeating = stuffed... overwriting = stuffy! See the difference? (giggle) katy xox.

Don't "steddy" on it too hard, Ed...or you'll lose that spark
of humor that makes your "down home" poems so special.

(((ed)))

enjoy the poem for what it is, and don't try to figure it out--it either touches you or it doesn't...

and yours always are earthy, honest, thought provoking or fun to behold! couldn't ask for anything more. well done!

(((HUGS))) and love, karla. :)
