I knew I had pictures of him, but I can't find them now...damn! ed

Charlie Wong…

Not much use have I for cats,

Sorry to those cat lovers out there,

But dogs are my true passion,

Rufuz never for me out of fashion,

I still reserve the right for cats I have compassion…

There was this one though, as I grew up,

My best friends cat, Charlie Wong,

A Siamese with class, a really karmic kitty,

And he even did like me mores the pity…

He was the first cat I did know personally,

He treated me like family, as did HIS whole family,

He would talk to me and sit on my lap,

He even used to sit on my shoulders,

And allow me to walk in the ocean up to my hips,

Never did he flinch; never did he give any lip…

It hurt so deeply when he did one night die in his sleep,

He just left us all with an imprint of his soul,

Never did he scratch, never did he control,

He was the best-damned cat I ever did know,

And to this day I do remember him still,

My friend the cat, name of Charlie Wong, he really was a pill…J

LOL at Lady A's comment!
And I enjoyed your poem, even though I am a cat lover.

We always feel guilty when we were not there when they die. I like Lady A's comment...

Perhaps this is why Rufuz is so close to you.
