At a loss of late...

Blank Page…

My mind a blank page,

Unusual for this old sage,

Wish I had something to say,

Instead I just sit here and pray…

Lost I do be,

Am unable to see,

No end to my loss for words,

Man this just freakin’ sucks,

It really is for the birds…

Not even can I force myself,

By calling upon my lil’ writers elf,

For help in writing something worthy,

My mind a blank page, wish I could write something earthy…

No ideas from Rufuz,

Nothing about the sea,

The weather so boring,

Even if I were paid a fee,

Could I keep you from snoring…

No reposts as I do not do that,

Don’t want to change what already has taken place,

If they are not good enough by now, I just refuse to go back,

Maybe instead of the write I should just work with lace,

For with a blank page in my head, I feel I have a great deal of space,

Between my ears, no brains do float anywhere within this cranium,

Damn I got to say I do feel like such an overall disgrace…

Here's an idea, Ed... if you're planning on wearing a skirt for Halloween, why not get out the face paint and practice. Who knows? You could end up looking like Brittany Spears! (ICK!) tee hee... there's always embroidery. How 'bout teaching Rufie how to play canasta? Nevermind. katy xox.

I have to echo Ed’s sentiments. Ed, this is NOT a BLANK page my friend. It’s well expressed and composed, which easily illustrates how one can form something from a mere thought. I did enjoy the read. Thank you for sharing it. Take care and be well. Peace thru writing.

I do I do know how you feel! At least you were able to write about not writing! I can't even manage that.
I'm sure you will be back to your old self in no time at all! Hang in there!

Generally when we go through the "Blank" times we are on the edge of new writes that are different then our usual style. Don't sweat the small stuff :-)

We have all been there, Ed! Not to worry; a change of pace, a change of place, whatever it takes! That creative spark within your cranium will never be extinguished. Nicely crafted verse. Much enjoyed!

This doesn't look like a blank page to me, my friend. Maybe a slow period, but definitely not a blank page. And maybe even Rufuz needs a break from writing his epic poems once in awhile.
