I am not sure where this came from or what it means, if anything...any ideas?

Interlude with a Buddha…

Celibate he did profess to remain,

He had to throughout life abstain,

Never did you hear him though complain,

His life was what he wanted it to be, albeit a bit strange…

He did love all, that being his aim,

His body a temple as he did claim,

We did meet in the past; another life was his domain,

How many lives have passed since that day, have we obtained?

We did speak of our pasts,

We did speak of our lasts,

Could not speak of the future,

As no one can therein predict,

He had a good head on his shoulders,

I did decline when asked if I wanted some head…
