Meditation vs Prayer…

No difference as far as I can tell,

Prayer a request to the gods,

Meditation a personal thing,

Both something still we are trying to sell…

Meditation, a life long remediation,

Prayer, sometimes its recipient can scare,

Either one or both, we show ourselves as one who cares,

The fabric of our lives, our life and times, we do sometimes tear…

What long thoughts I do get in the wee hours,

Perhaps the lack of sleep, climbing intellectual towers,

Keeping myself awake just for writings sake…

So did I come up with anything herein new?

Something I could call maybe a debut,

Or did I say something you might misconstrue ,

As being a part or parcel of something being taboo…

Taken me a few days to finish this write,

I wanted so much to get it just right,

So if it is not quite within your sight,

Please try to enjoy it anyway; I tried to be mostly polite…
