During work today, this just flowed out of my muse-free & humorless psyche...something to think about...ed
I don’t think Peace is obtainable without war… Do you remember a time when peace did reign? Maybe before the atomic age and acid rain, We have fought for what we believe in, But it seems our beliefs are that of greed and sin… Not all of us have been taken in, Our lives that of a fish with fins, Swimming around in our little bowls, Keeping our heads stuck deep in little holes… When will it end? Our worlds inability to stop its offend, We claim we are fighting to other nations defend, I hope when we all do die, we do ascend, But I fear we will fall in the opposite direction, yes descend… Peace cannot come without war, I realize that statement is quite hardcore, But we have to face reality, life as we have known it has changed, We will now see life in the negative, yes we will life abhor… © ed ~ 11/10/04

Ain't it great to be a member of the most intellectually elevated species known to this world? Rational, logical, emotional... power-hungry, dishonest, manipulative, crafty, oh... let's not omit greedy.

I think Eddie K is rubbing off on me... Sigh. Being human may not necessarily translate into the highest place, speaking concientiously, that is. katy xox.

Since the time when people began picking grain to feed themselves and their families, we have had war. In the modern world we fight them on a much larger scale. It seems to be human nature to fight over our desires. Even here, people fight over something as simple as personal opinions. It is a sad fact about we humans, Ed. Perhaps if there were no possessions and the entire world was able to share their great wealth with all, and there was no greed and no money to change hands, we might find a certain level of peace. At this point, such a change seems impossible and perhaps even undesirable. Excellent writing. Wise words.

I don't think so either. You do not have to be a christian though on my article. I am not talking about words like fart etc. That was funny but what I was talking about was using the f--k word and calling soldiers rapists etc. That came from another poet for the life of me I can't see his diatribe. Peace is not obtainable and we know that the even the bible says this. I agree with Lori as long as there are three people on the planet one will dissent.
