In Memory of Me…
Lost at sea,
Was me,
The darkness of but 10 fathoms enveloping me,
No more of the sun on the sea could I see…
At least I will be remembered by myself, yes me,
I let go the sail during a storm; it was on the side of the lee,
I will miss a great deal, but especially she,
Dear god do please take care of her, that is my plea…
Lost I was off the western key,
Thankfully I was alone, me, myself and I, yes we,
Nothing left of my boat on the surface, no debris,
Will have to sue the boat manufacturer, as it was not supposed to sink; under it was guarantee…
Will have to do that in my next life, in some way, yes some degree,
If you are searching for my boat or me,
You will have to look for me in the Caribbean Sea,
Hey look what just floated by, a single broken ski…L

Now that I have indulged my smart mouth, I'd like to add that this, for whatever it is, from wherever it came, Eddie M, is a piece of really wonderful poetry! It nearly hyponotizes with its swaying rhythms... as being at sea might do. I thought the 2nd verse was haunting and especially atmospheric... good stuff! katy xox.
