Wishes & Dreams…

My life spent wishing and dreaming,

So far few have come true ,

I have little been redeeming,

Never have I tried to do scheming,

More so have I experienced screaming…

Yes I do wish a great deal,

None of it has occurred as of yet,

I realize that wishing and dreaming are nothing real,

But for once in my life, I truly do wish I could break that seal…

The daydream I have perfected beyond reproach,

No help have I needed, not even a coach,

I have yet to sell my soul,

The devil I have not allowed to encroach…

Am I wrong in my dreaming and wishing?

Do I need to take better stock of myself?

Change my ways for my future days?

Or live them out for the rest of time the same way…

Dream on, Eddie M... it feeds the soul and brightens the dark days... never stop wishing and dreaming. Sometimes, often, what comes true is even better than what we dared to hope for. I kid you not!

This is so introspective, a soul-searching piece. I can feel the angst... remember: one day at a time. Live all of them! katy xox.

Never sell your soul; better days ahead for you; dream on!

Ed, Dreams are goals not yet planned. Wishes are responses to things you have already made up your mind won't happen. Declare your goal and then drive all you have toward it. You will reach it!!!

Dream on Ed, for it is said that for the lack of vision/dreams...the people perish. We humans need our dreams in order to survive...so dream on Sir Ed, and may some of your dreams bear fruit...take care and be whole.

You want to know something having a daydream and wishes is what keeps us going. Me I sometimes just stick around to see what is going to happen next. Besides wishing and dreaming is what makes us have incentive to write.
