Any prayers you can spare for this friend would be appreciated...ed
[Would each of you pray for Bobbie Clouston (a “friend” of Ed’s). Monday and Tuesday she was vomiting, had sweats, hand felt funny, dizzy, and blacked out. Please pray that she will come home soon. Her husband, George, a good man, asks that he gets all the prayers he and she can…THANKS] Grudges… I have said in the past, And I do regret to the last, When I do hold a grudge, I have never been a judge… I usually do tend to forgive overnight, With the next mornings light, I will let a problem go feeling it is only right, The problem may always be there, but for me let it take flight… …BUT… Unfortunately, I guess I am only human, As for one I have not done so, And for this I do truly repent, I have allowed myself to never forget a past transgression, To you and to myself I do make this confession… I have not forgiven this persons attitude, I have not given her any latitude, I do not deserve, no way in hell, gratitude, I did go against all that I believe, I have to myself herein conclude… So with this poem of regret, Will I change for this person, I can’t bet? I am not sure I can do so, for I would lose, I hope implicitly this will not cause for me a long-term karmic debt… © ed ~ 12/22/04

I love the honesty of this Ed. You are clearly wrestling here and my hope is that peace finds you with this situation - soon.

Ed, just in the thought of regret, and acknowledgment of past grievences, and in being truly repentant, you have already been forgiven, know this dear friend, now all is left is to make good with the person in question here.
I admire your sincerity and courage, and God knows, your heart.

Yup, it can be hard, being human, one forgives, only to find, some thing triggers off a memory, and tries to forgive again.

You know I think we all have that one person that is difficult to forgive a grudge but this is the human condition. Still I will say a prayer for the person of whom the request was made. We all deserve that much.

Nice write, Ed. Confession is often good for the psyche and for the soul... at least that's what they say. Ask forgiveness and move on. Beating yourself up solves nothing.

Although, sometimes hard to let go, life is too short to hold a grudge. At least your trying that says alot. I'll keep your friends in my thoughts and prayers.
