Allowing myself to get upset over that which I have no control...

Helping the self to avoid being stressed out...

Allowing myself to get upset over that which I have no control…

My new job did hire me,

No info so far on my drug test,

I have let it eat at me too much,

I have to remember that I tried my best…

No control have I got,

Over if they find or not,

What I did smoke, yes the pot,

It was my decision; it will be my lot…

I have to accept that whatever does come,

Is karmic in nature, my life it does sum,

I have made decisions good and bad; yes some,

But that is life; we live to deal with strife…

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL & TO ALL A GOOD LIFE!

Great reminder, Ed, for all who read this thought provoking poem. No point in worrying about those things over which we have no control; it is wasted time wasted energy.
Continued success/

Ed--Happy New year to you and may 2005 bring you joy and laughter.
And--hey, don't bogart that joint my friend! : )
I have not 'smoked' since ummm...1982 (I am now dating myself) I fear if I tried it now I would become totally paranoid and eat everything that isn't nailed down!

If you eat a muffin with poppy seed in it that shows up on a drug test. I think in some cases these drug tests are a waste of time. On those jobs where the safety of the public is questioned yes but if someone is a cashier at Walmart does it matter? Okay hope it goes well.

??? They hired you without the drug test results? Hmmmm... try not to tie your little self up in knots, Eddie M... though I know those are empty words, since each of us would be doing the same thing in your shoes... Sigh.

I'll send positive vibes... how's that? (smile) katy xox.

It is good to hear that you own your decisions, Ed. We all make decisions that are both good and bad, so welcome to the life of a human being. If, indeed, your test comes back positive, and this makes you feel bad, I would suggest that you search for a reason why you would sabotage yourself like this.
Take care,
Sherry

I have made decisions good and bad

So has every other member of the animal race known as man - who has ever walked this earth - welcome to the club.

And Happy Happy New Year to you, my friend; I truly hope it's a good one for you.
