We must…(resolve)

As we awaken and move into 2005,

We must remember the previous year, the loss of lives,

We must be sure to pay homage to those that have gone before,

We must use our knowledge to bring forth a future with no war,

We must seek peace showing our elected leaders what we abhor,

We must forget about outer space, it is the self we need to explore…

As our clocks & calendars do change to the New Year,

We must find within ourselves the strength to conquer fear,

We must stop using derogatory terms such as fag and queer,

We must accept all man and woman, no matter who they revere,

We must find in our hearts & souls a way to the next frontier…

As the New Years ball does fall,

We must look at ourselves and take stock,

We must no longer of others mock,

We must our compassions unlock,

We must try to turn back the clock…

I swear to you and make this vow,

I will do all the above if you will as well, yes, right now!
