Soft words & harsh feelings…

I cannot this night get away from these writes,

The power of the pen in my hand does make me see lights,

Though in reality I do not use a pen or pencil,

My keyboard, my computer, my screen does make me here linger…

When one does use soft words,

He is nothing if for the birds,

If he should have harsh feelings,

In his head he may be really reeling…

Screwing around does everyday abound,

Brewing on the ground is in everyway unsound,

Do I make any sense, my mind of thoughts all a jumble,

I may do better when I allow myself to do no more than mumble,

I will always be at your service, your servant savant most humble…

I get to the point where I can't sleep either and the words march around in my head waiting to be written.

I hate when I can't sleep and have to keep getting up to jot down lines. Yours makes more sense than mine usually seem to when I read them back in the morning.
Take care,
Sherry

Future: The Spiritual Story of Humanity by Glenn Martin

Histories of the world are generally written to either celebrate technology and science, or to herald doom. My book examines the path of the spirit in the onward rush.
