Poetry is, will and does… No matter how obscure, Poetry is the ultimate cure, For all the worlds ills, They are mostly better than pills… Poetry will make one think, Even if it does otherwise stink, Thinking is good for the brain, To write poetry I cannot abstain… Poetry does for me as it does for you, Poetry does bring to the world a new view, Poetry does bring happiness when I am blue, Poetry does leave me feeling quite renewed, And with that I will say to you at this time, adieu… © ed ~ 2/8/05
