Immortality…
Is it worth the loss?
Are we ready to see it all pass?
Friends, family, children don’t last,
Is immortality truly worth our not getting a cross…?
Is death the end?
I don’t mean regards the gods to offend,
But what do we truly know of our imminent end?
Could we not be immortal, if so we will never transcend,
Then we must forever and always be our own best friend…
Leaving this plain where for so long we have tried to remain,
Takes us away from all that we know, all that we have maintained,
Death the mortal has tried to from abstain,
Though the immortal has constantly tried to attain…
Better to die at birth,
Never to know life, never to know girth,
I try to quite usually pass on my personal mirth,
To all that will listen and prosper, who do live here together on this earth…

Interesting questions and as always coloured by your superb wit. You are a thinking man, deep and reflective and sometimes delightfully irreverent. An enigma and yet as familiar as a brother.
Wonderful writing...
