What did he Sense…?

Awakened at four,

Rufuz standing by the door,

Maybe he needs out,

Of that there seems no doubt…

Once outside he wants with his ball to play,

No hint of morning yet, sky a steel gray,

A slight breeze tinkling the neighbors chimes,

Maybe a storm heading our way, who’s to say…?

So what did he sense?

Maybe an offbeat breath in my sleep,

He did so and awoke me for my own good,

Cooler it’s gotten in the last hour,

Rufuz lying at my feet, maybe there in my defense…?

What would I do without my boy?

His hair into everything, my shoes his toy,

He takes quite good care of me, he surely does,

Doing so with what seems great joy…

So true it is; what would I do without my hairy boy…? J

I find that my dogs will get up and go over to look out at the window sometimes as they hear and see things we don't. Perhaps a warning growl to an intruder is all that is needed to keep the riff raff away. Very good Ed.

They really do seem to be an extention of ourselves, don't they, Ed? They are so tuned into our emotions and our physical state. We call them "man's best friend," but truly they are the guardians of our wellbeing.
Take care,
Sherry

They're men's best friends. I'm so glad you have Rufuz. You two are such great friends to each other. They can also play so well with us. Some pets are even brought to the hospital now to act as healing companions for the patients. It is amazing what a pet can do for human.

My cat Pride always greets me whenever I come home from work. He follows me everywhere. Knocks on doors if he wishes to be let in. He even plays catch mouse like a dog with us. We throw the mouse, he catches it and then brings it back to us. I've never had a cat that plays like a dog, he's the first one. My hubby suggests that we go out to buy a frisbie, to see if he would play catch it. It is so much fun to play with Pride. Sometimes I don't even think that he knows he's a cat. Heeeheee!

I think sometimes they want to warn us to be on alert for some reason!!

Like yesterday my dog for no reason started to pamper me...and at about the same hour...my eldest son was in a car accident...he is okay...but at that same hour i received a message from my daughter...telling me her ex sister-in-law..commited suicide!!
So that tells you something huh?

Love Tinka
