It is time to flush that hit or two down the toilet, Ed. Just the knowledge that it is there will most likely be your demise. Yeah, I hate the company policies too. Pot is the unfair one also, since it can be detected for 3 weeks. Long after the buzz has left, the test still shows a positive. It seems so wrong. We could be on vacation, not even due to go to work for two weeks and one hit or perhaps two would be enough to lose us our job a week after we returned. I quit because of a job and to be honest I really never missed it. I think it was just my dislike of a corporation telling me how I could live in my private time that really bugged me. I had to look at the other side of it though. Did I want to be able to pay my rent and eat, or did I want to go on feeling angry that my personal time was being manipulated. I opted for the rent and food part. Some decisions are not easy and still, I really have issues with that test. Until they are able to test for a positive at the time that we are working that happened during the time that we are working, I feel that it is unfair and a blatant disregard for my privacy…but breakfast and a roof over my head sure does feel good.
