What may matter to some, may not matter to others...
Matters Not or Does It…? A Matter of Perspective… To the rich the poor live without, To the poor the rich have everything just about, But the poor may have more riches so don’t pout, As the rich only have their money & for that they are devout, The poor on the other hand have friends & family, Never of them is there ever a drought…J A Matter of being Reflective… To dote on something is said to be good, Life, love & happiness are rarely misunderstood, If we think on one subject for long enough a time, We can see things we hadn’t seen before or should… A Matter of being Defective… Is it defective to lose the muse? Is it defective to snooze more when one is feeling the blues? Are we being defective when our bodies we do abuse? Writes such as this can make me feel enthused… A Matter of being Introspective… Examine we do our own personal senses, We also do pick apart our own perceptual experiences, To look at the self from the outside in, To do so we often have to lower our own defenses, We cannot fool ourselves with our own pretenses… A Matter of being Subjective… It does take place within the mind, Does also get modified on an individual basis, Is a mental act, purely beyond that of infinite time, To offset that of disrupting metabolic changes of homeostasis… © ed ~ 6/9/05

Trying to get things into perspective. These things you said help. To know my own mind is what I wish for right now. I do have to look at myself deeply from outside in right now, choose where I'll live til health problems arise in older age, forcing me out of my home probably. Money is not a matter of having it either. Don't ask for riches. Cannot get enthused too much over life except for Bingo.

An excellent piece, Ed! I especially like " .... To look at the self from the outside in, to do so we often have to lower our own defenses ..." Thats' so difficult for most of us, as we rarely ever acknowledge who we truly are!

wow, this is something i'm not used to from you. you're scaring me now. hope you don't get too serious on us, there aren't enough people around here with a sense of humor. 2, i think. that being said, you made a couple of really keen observations that more people should stop and think about. i especially relate to the first part; i am unbelievably glad now that i grew up poor. i would've missed out on a lot if my folks had money, like real life.
