Is it better to be read?

Than to find yourself dead,

Without Ever being read,

Or so the poet said…

The poet looking for reviews,

May access his poetry with dread,

Did the reviewer his poems shred?

Or was he not at all read,

His poetry by others refused…

Or two or more,

Some get so many,

Some only may receive a few…

Are poets the written worlds whore?

Do we write to receive a score?

Are these questions meant for all?

Or am I asking the self from deep within my core?
