...to preface this poem would be to slighten its effect...

Muddled Thinking…

So he is told he does possess,

Just this once he will agree and profess,

He did not look at it that way, the past he does suppress,

Over his personal distress he does everyday obsess,

A life led in a self-made prison he does herein to attest…

Spoken of is castration,

Eventually led will he be to his damnation,

Wish does he that he could have avoided temptation,

Raped regularly as a child, never learned from that education…

Does he now think with a muddled brain?

Through therapy and psychoses found, his life down the drain,

He does exist but under the surface he cries out in pain,

Each day he does live is another where he does of himself disdain…

Suicide he tried and did fail,

Rope burns on his neck do of his attempts tell the tale,

A coward he is to even take his own life tied to a rail,

His complaints and stresses even to him are becoming stale…

Buy a blank CD, put it in your computer or dvd player. Just let it sit there, and imagine you are transferring all your muddled thoughts of past abuse and all the shit baggage you are weighed down with onto the blank CD. When you are finished. Remove the CD and throw it in the garbage with all those wasted self-recriminations and past horrors, and be done with it. Now if you try really hard, you can imagine a brain where the crap has been deleted, now get on with making some new and pleasant memories. It's my method Ed and it worked for others;-). I feel your anguish and pray you will try harder to be done with it. Bad thoughts must be replaced with good ones, they just can't keep being shoved on the back burner.

Love,
Eileen
