A walking stick our only companion,

Compass & map does nothing in life’s canyon,

Got to pick the path that seems to fit,

Otherwise you may find yourself quite deep in sh**…

Using advice learned,

For this hike you have yearned,

Up to the top of living mountains,

Down the other side to end at of youth, fountains…

Power bars to eat,

A bit of water to help with this feat,

Clothing optional but necessary are shoes on your feet,

A rocky road we do tread,

The longer our stride the further we find we have fled…

No stopping to sleep, eat, nor drink,

No way to wash so we must stink,

We traverse beyond our personal limit,

This we must do as much as possible in sync,

Heading for the precipice and eventually our personal brink…
