Don't invite me to your holiday get-togethers

Poem Artwork

Perhaps it is my remembrances from childhood,

Maybe I am just getting grouchy in my old age,

But I find myself more than happy to at home stay,

Parties, dinners and such to not go I would pay…

I could be just as happy to work the holiday,

Time and a half pay would be of the sun a ray,

Even Rufuz is getting older now, he does not chase the kids,

He prefers to stay with me,

My holiday depression apparently on him rubbing off,

Maybe next year I can feign a cold and cough…

Guess I am not much for parties,

Been a loner all my life, now an old farty,

Sometimes more bored with life than I care to admit,

Better off I stay at home and take big s***…

Now you tell me, after I spent a fortune on the gold embroidered Holiday Invitations. Do you think Rufuz might want to attend, without you? My dogs would really like it if he could at least show up. They already have his present, buried under the tree.
