This was listed off to the side of a poem I was reading, (in that area where they list a sampling of other poems from the same genre) under the heading of philosophy. It surprised me to find one this old in that area. I don't read all of those, but quite often I'll read several of them. Just thought I'd mention it to you.

I try to be thankful for what I have, because I'm doing better than a lot of people. But I exercise my right as an American to bitch and moan a little too often. Things are frustrating, I feel like I understand that of which you speak. By the way, obtuse is a great word.

Happy Thanksgiving anyways mate!!

You have been blessed with a voice and the ability to write. You have a computer and a way to deliver your message. You have people here who read and support your efforts, not because we necessarily agree with all that you say, but because we live in America and there is room for all opinions here and we all should be granted the freedom to express them. You have a companion who thinks you are the greatest human who ever walked the planet. You have a job and the ability to provide for yourself. You have the sunrise, the stars and the moon and you have life. Not too much to be thankful for I guess, but I am grateful for all that I have and in being so, find the courage to do my part in trying to make the world a better place one person at a time. Happy Thanksgiving, Ed. May all of the blessings that have touched my life also touch yours.
