For the kids and the young at heart...

Poem Artwork

I know its difficult,

To be a kid nowadays,

But dare to be yourself,

Grow up an individual,

No baggy pants & loose fitting clothes,

Hats turned sideways or reversed,

Strutting around like some rapper,

Acting quite altogether perverse,

I guess though to some it is better,

Than running away and joining a cult…

Difficulty in each generation,

Leading to stress and frustration,

Maybe you think you are a complete aberration,

But if you can see yourself as just one,

Out of a great and laudable population,

You may find of yourself that you are the one,

Who is to the rest quite applaud able,

From your generation you will one day receive congratulation…

So hey be yourself,

No one will at this time you fault,

You may find yourself being the one they exalt,

Your future will be nothing if not better, by default…

I must say you gave great advice Ed! It is such a difficult time in todays high tech world! I pray the youth learn to act their age because it will never be that again. Once gone that's it. So if you are 12, don't try to be older and miss living the present, it is gone all too quickly!

Right Rufuz? woof woof!;-)

It's got to be very tough on the kids today, Ed. They can't get away from each other. THere's a communication device growing from every ear, staring at every eye. Let's hope they make it. They're in our thoughts.
Best regards,
Leland

Histories of the world are generally written to either celebrate technology and science, or to herald doom. My book examines the path of the spirit in the onward rush.
