I resemble that for the most part although it is not my fault because everybody really does not like me and that is why I snivel and moan about how bad my life is and expect everyone to stop/drop/quit what they are doing to spend TIME with me because I am so misunderstood and people don't like me. Oh, I said that already. On a serious note, websites like AD are for people who want praise for their work, it is not a critiquing kind of a place, not real critique. Your poem is certainly correct that we are our own worse critiquer, that is if we are truthful with ourselves, but at the same time, when we write something good there is nothing wrong with grinning and accepting (to ourselves) that is IS good.

Good write, Ed! A through Z has such meaning. Critiquing ourselves is done on a reward system instead of a negative putdown. It totally imobilizes the writer and defeats the purpose. A reward system in place with each piece of material accepted as a gift, the writer rewards themselves with presenting it. If it's not to the writer's liking, then it should not be presented until the writer accepts it themselves. Quality needs to come first, not quantity. Writers don't have to post something everyday if the flow is not meeting their personal expectations. Quality suffers if quantity rules. Moreover, it reduces a writer's opportunities to showcase their work.
