It's Christmas, can PEACE be found...?

Poem Artwork

Just for a few short days,

We then can bask in the suns rays,

Peace does not come easily,

Maybe to the creator we could praise…?

I know not how to go about it,

But we cannot do so when we sit,

We need to get out and cause a fit,

Nothing less will do, we need to of ourselves commit…

The world always in someway at war,

Peace I understand is a chore,

It almost seems that for war we are a whore,

Couldn’t we sit down with opposing parties & create a rapport…?

Couldn't we though? Splendid and worthy sentiments, Ed. I agree. Blessings to you,

for war we are a whore,

Seems it's been this way since mankind first walked this planet. And I doubt it will change any time soon, we're probably not smart enough to change until we eventually wipe ourselves off the face of the earth.

Ed..all we can do is pray, pray for peace, but not in my lifetime do I believe any wars will cease..We can't even help our own troubled and hungry in our own tow, politicians too busy snooping around. they will agree to our going to war without a thought, wonder how many of their little bills they want passed is how they are bought..

really enjoy your thoughts..after the first of the year I will be sharing some of your work on my blogstream site, which you gave me permission to...will let you know when I post them...Merry Christmas, Ed, to you and yours..

Peace, what a lovely thought...don't know if it will ever again be reality? But we must keep on praying for God is the peace giver and the peace maker. Great write!

unfortunately, peace is an extremely short interval between war ...

Oh, that those in power would see war as you, and most of us, do, Ed!
"It almost seems that for war we are a whore," how right you are! Not enough money to be made with peace, so we start wars...well, some tom-fools of us do; then speak of Victory ahead. I'd like to have him de-fine Victory - victory of WHAT?? 'Nuff said for today...

profound thoughts my friend

One of the translations of the angel's salutation to the shepherds
is Peace on Earth
To men of good will.

What we lack is people of good will

I do not believe that peace will ever be found on this planet Ed, until the Prince and Author of true peace returns once again to rule and reign.

In the meantime, we can try to love and support one another the best we can.

You wax philosophical here my friend. Rufus ... did you have a hand in this write? WOOF!

Blessings ...
