Poem Artwork

Is it usual to have less writers thought,

Never was I of writing taught,

Oh they tried, the teachers of the day,

But back then all I wanted to do was get out to play…

My thoughts today seem labored,

A labor of love sometimes hardly worth it,

A labor of pain most times digging deep,

Beating a dead equine most belabored…

While writing did one ever wonder if it all made sense,

Balancing myself on the beam in the middle of the fence,

Do I want to do so or not, now or in the past tense,

No matter what I write do I receive even a trickle of cents…

You may not receive cents, but you write with a lot of sense. The difficulty in writing poetry is one of my most confounding attempts. I look to you for humor and contemplation.

God bless you. Kathy

Doesn't seem the labor pains make cents then do they?
But we's gotta write anyhow.

ED .... OKAY-OKAY-OKAY .... there's your problem... that last word ... cents!

DON'T LEAVE YOUR DAY JOB! VERY LITTLE MONEY IN PROSE, AND NONE IN POESY!
JUST SIT IN THE SUN, WRITE FOR FUN, AND EXPOUND UPON, THE ODOR OF YOUR TOESIES!

TOM.

When I take more than usual of my pain meds,I feel just like this.Although,I'm not saying it is the cause,we poets have
so many images and thoughts racing around in our braintrack
and some subsances cause our brain to be fuzzy and make
us wonder if we make any sense/cents I for sure make none
of the latter;-)Hi Rufuz!

I use to chase the gals instead of
learning to write back then.
Ed, your writing has purpose.
For we need to laugh as much as we can.
Don't stop writing whatever you write. We reads it.
Ron

Future: The Spiritual Story of Humanity by Glenn Martin

Histories of the world are generally written to either celebrate technology and science, or to herald doom. My book examines the path of the spirit in the onward rush.
