Maybe that’s the reason for my troubles,
Can’t find a job, worry a constant companion,
Fortunately for Him, just one of me exists,
Having to deal with two would be trouble double…
I don’t ask for His help,
I kinda feel it is not right,
I mean I have denied His existence,
And gone the way of the atheist,
Then I did denounce him, and went Buddhist,
Though I really appreciate those of you that for me pray,
That takes a lot of downright persistence…
So, if I don’t get a job again,
I’ve no one but myself to blame,
Still I do find myself attracted to everything Zen,
There are times that I do talk to Him, only though now & then…

1ST - I echo the sentiments of J. Allen & Karla & Karen - FAITH CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS!
2ND - ASK - the simple mneumonic of all Prayer - Ask - Seek - Knock - and it shall be given unto you!
3RD - consider the beautiful painting - "Footprints In the Sand" - when there was only ONE SET - HE CARRIED YOU!
4TH - WHAT IF - the jersey DEVIL - transformed into The Jersey ANGEL? Perhaps volunteering somewhere to help others, less fortunate, would help you pass those times of loneliness, and be the springboard to an actual J-O-B ?
5TH - if you have any testosterone left - go and read my (article, I think?)
"Our Father Who Art Within Us!" - TRUST ME - HE IS IN THERE!
"Pax Domini Sit Semper Vobiscum" -
May the Peace of The Lord be always with YOU!"
From my days as an innocent little Altar boy!
We are ALL but SINNERS - but we are ALL ALSO FORGIVEN !!!
Newfie hugs, Rose
I understand your worry about not finding a job. My husband has been out of work for about 3 years now. We are living only on my monthly check and it never stretches thru the whole month. Times are hard. Ed, if not for my faith in God I wouldn't make it another day. You and Rufus are in my prayers and my heart. I hope you find work soon. The factory where my husband worked closed down, he'd worked there 25 years. Now for health reasons its hard if not impossible to find work. Lets pray for each other.
Many blessings,
~Linda
None of us are perfect, will ever measure up to His standards. Even me, especially me. TRUST me. However, I must keep believing in Him: to not to is to abandon ALL hope. No, I don't hear Him. No, I don't always get what I want. But when I do: worth it, everytime. Struggling, too: the whole Nation is, some (many) worse than others. Be grateful for the small things: waking up. Rufuz. A roof, overhead. Food. The ability to write/think/talk/see/hear/think/walk. Know where you're coming from. Right now, feeling pretty worthless, myself.
Pray for me, you're always in mine.
((((HUGS)))) and love, Karla.
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :( >tears! <
I agree with Molly. We are all God's children. He loves us unconditionally. I hope things will improve for you soon.
Hugs,
Sandie Angel :o)
I personally like the Buddhist philosophy on life and death, however,
my belief is there are more good people than bad! That is probably why my life is a little mixed up.
You will find a job soon.....who knows somebody might be head hunting you now!
Best of luck Ed, Stuart
