The Dust of the Past...

Poem Artwork

That dust does blow into the future,

From a time past it does bring with it,

Strands of memories unknown to me,

But there within me do I recall a better time…

Am I one with time,

A timeless traveler,

Just passing through,

Waiting for what,

Hoping for whom,

Wishing for better,

Have I yet arrived,

Or have I come many a time…

Should I have been born in the twenties,

Or during the war years, but again which war,

Could I have played on my beaches,

Years prior to the days that I did,

Was I in love, walking with my lady,

On the boardwalks of the past…

Where shall I go hence,

What direction future or past,

Should I live and dream of the future,

Or yearn for and love my life last…

Have I yet arrived-or have I come many a time?
You have written an amazing piece here. I guess you decided to use your talents you have been hiding.

You don't remember, too young are you yet, but we joined forces one day to chase, kill and part 50/50 that young mamouth that would feed our families for a month (that T-Rex couldn't come inside you cave!)

Ed,

No use wishing for what might have been, no use living in the past. Make your future count NOW. Pass on a legacy to those who love you. Thought provoking excellence.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
