Poem Artwork

Artists we are, that’s quite true ,

Our writings stick to us like glue,

They are a power for me & you,

Though I know no reason,

I’ve not got even one proverbial clue…

I write to make people laugh,

At me or with me they are brothers half,

I write with much rhyme, but no reason,

Some may think that to be for turds,

The true writer being that of the nerd,

No rhyme, nor reason, thoughts only for the birds…

Writing for writings sake,

That’s not writing in anyway fake,

Still seems to me that I can eat and have my cake,

For writing has its own power, no one can that take,

Writing for me starts at the back of my head,

As well my soul does mimic the of-writing ache…

The first rue of writing is to... write, write, write, write and write some more. Onepoet said it best "cool piece in relation"

Cheers and happy writing,

I've always felt if you want to eat your cake and have it too.
All you have to do is just bake two.

it's what we want and like to do right Ed, cool piece in relation, needing no other explanation, added to Eds equation, so I'll end this summation

Like us, our pen has muscles, if we don't exercise we become weak and obsolete.
Keep on writing, because poets do it with passion.

How very true we all write hoping to amuse someone in some way. Keep the pen to paper Ed as we are quiet pleased.

Keep writing, Ed, I love what you have to say!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Like Ted, most of what I write isn't planned. It just ... is.

Right on, Ed -- a simple idea, poignant or asinine, pops into the mind unbidden, and it writes itself into a poem or story as we play with it on keyboard or paper. Almost none of my stuff is pre-planned or outlined or structured deliberately -- these things, silly or serious, write themselves for their own sake. I suppose that is the difference between artists and word-crafters. Write on :-)
