Too bad good people have to suffer through this hallabaloo. It seems very unfair to all. Many do not like it, but what can we do about it. It seems people of no distinction have no say in any matter at all,What will be will be , higher ups say. It's cruel in a way, isn't it?

Tres Existential and well penned. We are long past Orwell's 1984, we in the west that is but the rest of the world has been suffering more than we can imagine. We have at least had an imaginary life ring to support us for awhile at least. Now it has holes in it and we too are going down. Pass the brownies, J'nia

The Thought Police already have secret telescreens (they�re watching your reading this right now, so it�s best to wear clothes while sitting at your computer), hidden microphones and cameras at every intersection, spy satellites, and anonymous informers who spy on potential �thought-criminals.�
Children are being indoctrinated to be informers: to spy and report on suspected �thought-criminals� � especially their parents. (Best be very careful of all your spawn you mentioned at that trailer park.) Pets are also being indoctrinated with a special vaccine and microchip, which detects illegal substances.

The Japanese didn't get bogged in self-gratification, they didn't churned out car after cars to sell a zillion, they kept one ear on the ground and listened to customers. Toyota is one example, and now they are building electric cars with lighter batteries, 500 miles reach with one charge and a recharging taking only 15 minutes.
MG got taken with its pants down insisting on building "American" gas guzzlers.
Nobody believed the warnings about Bush cronies, Cheney cronies, Halliburn Oil et all, blocking any attempt to have better, cheaper, safe cars without refined oil addiction , because they wanted the bucks, who need to pay for it wasn't their concern.

Hi Ed, Even for us that don't mess with Mary Jane sure are tempted too these days! I'm afraid if I did it would put me to sleep and I won't ever want to wake up. But the coughing would kill me first, I'm sure. Orwell wasn't far off, was he? Look at us all, sitting in front of our "monitors"... that's how Big Brother is watching us, right? Stay strong, Ed! It's not only Rufuz that needs your truths and humor...
