Focus

Poem Artwork

To focus on a candle’s flame

Incense burning calming same

Releasing at least some of the blame

Disavowing that which we did claim.

 

Burning into the mind

Is the fire refined

Examining the past & behind

Remembering that which is intertwined.

 

No sound but breathing

Variable and light

In thought one takes flight

To focus such can bring delight.

To fell in love with the light of the candle but with the last drop of wax the focus will be on the shadows.
