Poem Artwork

Is it justice to be rich,

Or injustice, ain’t it a bitch,

I live in a world without life,

I wish that I got married & had a wife…

Its injustice to have no job,

And to find one is very hard,

Then the government with taxes,

Does of me every year rob…

Is it karma or justice,

To live with stress,

To try to be happy,

To desire to be free,

To talk to God on bended knee,

To love those that do in return love me…

Or again, is it injustice to have to scrimp & save,

To live in this world of ours like a knave,

Stealing from the rich & keeping what we steal,

This last paragraph is not what I feel,

But I’m starting to wonder if into theft & such I might cave…

Dear Joisey Devil ED -

As Pat dun sed - 'thou shalt not steal.'

As a corollary, Two - 'shalt not covets' ...

Most of my adult life I managed to obey these 3 ...

But, just the other nite, I told my niece, Bernie - I AM NOW GUILTY OF 'ENVY!'

As I do my job, delivering 'scrips' - I now question WHY - all these hundreds, thousands maybe, of Rich suckers live in Mansions - 1/2 Mil $ or more - and I am relegated to 'Trailer Trash?'

WHY? justice vs. Injustice - am I not Worthy?

Did I not Obey all the rules - pay my taxes - go to Chuch - Volunteer in the Choir for 16 years! figured out it was over 4,000 hours of "Making a Joyful Noise Unto The Lord" - and yet, like you, I am but a Pauper!

"God Bless the J-O-B! Workin' fer 'the Man' - "Yes-sir! Who-sir? Me-sir?

Could it be that all those mansion-dwellers are JUST - better 'Ass-Kissers?'
Or - THIEVES? LIARS? Silver-Spoon recipients?

I DUNNO! But the truth is - it PISSES ME OFF!

Like PEEWEE dun sed - keep on keepin' on - C'est la Vie!

Peace - DUDE - Peace ... TomKat Cuz.

The game is rigged
The deck is stacked
Every day
Our Wallet's attacked
But we control
Just how we feel
Someone smarter than me said
Thou shalt not steal.

The problem is all tied up in a hierarchical system where those with power decide. People who work for the man never get ahead. You have to take a risk and get out of the comfort zone of a 'job.' to get ahead.

Ed,
I understand where you are coming from, I live on a fixed income...there's always more month than there is money. I have faith things will get better and I pray they do for you too.

I remember living from day to day because back then there was never a payday. I decided to make a list and stick to it so I could at least try to find my way into the future. for one month at a time I never spent a penny that didn't have to be spent, it is amazing when you see the outcome. I don't think life was ever meant to be given on a platter, it is like a game but we have to ubderstand all the rules and make the right moves to get through it Ed.

We are most definitely in untested waters right now so it is hard to say how all will turn out, but we must find ways to keep going forward....

Be always safe,

Yes sometimes it seems like no matter how hard we try the law still seems to act against us.

I can understand where your feelings are coming from. I will pray for you. I hope something good will happen for you soon.

A very honest write, as usual. Great job!!
