Being of a grain of sand...

Poem Artwork

Small in a world of expanding land,

Waters taken, removed & expelled,

Covered up & unable to be seen,

Is the part of Nature where we all have been…

 

Footprints to follow in the sand,

Some with shoes others with bare feet,

To climb sand dunes can be a feat,

Most though don’t allow climbing,

And in summer you wouldn’t want too,

As the sand is quite hot in summers heat…

 

So I am a small grain of sand,

In this big old world of man,

I try to be a better human,

Than most men, though it is hard,

Guess I can just be a better bard…

And if you look to the sea...if you look to the vastness of the night sky...then true this be...we are as small and finite as a grain of sand, but even in this, we are still known by HE!

We are all just small grains of earthly sand,
Mere specks in the vast, mysterious universe;
So cheer up, my brother, and keep on keepin on,
We must strive to be better mortals, not worse.
