Poem Artwork

Never for me will he be dead,

For I have so many pictures of him in my head,

Memories of him getting a “woodie” when his mommy came home,

Memories of all the places we did cruise together & roam…

He was my buddy, my confidant & my soul mate,

He was also my confessor, my listener & my hairy, stinky beast,

But love him I did and forever will,

Never will any other dog replace him, he was the best,

All other dogs on this planet are the least…

I know I will not ever get another like he,

I hope someday at the Rainbow Bridge I will one day him see,

And at that time I hope he does remember me,

The flop eared, twisted tail, snaggle toothed mutt,

Better remember his Daddy…J

Ed,
He will always live in your heart and your memories of Rufus will bring you comfort. Your Rufus was a four legged angel who brought you joy.

Blessings,

He will remember you darlin' and yes they all
have their own distinct personality... To even think
than any could replace who they were is absurd... I have
had many a pet, one I spoke to often in particular like your
Rufuz... I know how it must tug at your heartstrings to miss him...

You left an indelible imprint of Rufuz on me, too. I will never forget him, either.

Ed,

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how much he meant to you, but you'll be together again one day.

May his memory live on forever, in your heart and soul. And may we all one day meet our furry friends at that Rainbow Bridge.

heartrending. so sad to lose a family member. So personal. No dog gets replaced. You just find a different one to love and appreciate, while the memories of past dogs enhance the love of the next one. sorry about your loss. Liz
