...if you find this depressing, I am sorry, I, just like you, write what comes...

Some have cheap California wine, Some knock down a six pack, Some smoke a joint, And some just sit and cry, Asking God questions, but mostly why… Some go for a long walk in nature, Some take a bike ride, Some listen to music, Some just sit and read, Some just ask God for what they need… Some, like me, hide in their house, The flames of depression they with medication douse, They grow old without the “pleasure” of a spouse, I can’t even of myself to go out, rouse… © ed – 7/24/13

Depression is awful! It actually can immobilize you. Force yourself to walk around a little bit.

Depression makes it hard to look at the good side. You have to really try, and as I have said before, nature is the only cure, even if temporary. Nothing like a flower, or a shell, or a tree.

Go take that long walk in nature or a long bike ride, both work wonders for me when I'm feeling down.

Ed,

I understand depression. Get ready and MAKE yourself get out even if you just sit on a park bench, you are getting fresh air. Sit outside your home with a cold drink and watch people go by. I would wear a smile to mask the pain, but I'd get out. I am better now. Maybe your Doc needs to change your medication if you don't feel better soon.

The hot humid weather keeps me in the house also. But just for a few days, then I have to venture out and go shopping, not often though. Prefer the Spring and Fall in my old age.
