wrote this one night when I was VERY buzzed...so bear with any errors...

Poem Artwork

Have you ever gotten high,

And could not sit nor stand up and wonder why,

My first line is of munchies.

If I have it, is candy.

That makes a good high even better, just dandy…

Get too high brings on short term memory loss,

And I forget to finish a poem,

Or change it immensely thereby ruining the effect.

My second line of munchies is something with salt,

Don’t blame me this not my fault…

It was that man that gave me candy laced with pot,

Way back when, when I was still a little tot,

He taught many things we won’t go onto,

But gave me my munchies line up with other things thrown in,

Oh well I hope he is burning in hell for this sin…

As C. always keeps telling me; forget the past, be grateful today and live the moment. Thanks for sharing, Ed. Love, peace, and best wishes to you,

It's good to see you be finally getting to the source of your pain. At least I had my brother for protection and didn't take candy from strangers.

When my sister's first son joined into the military parties in Germany, everyone laughed when the two-year-old downed shot glasses (his size) left on the table. He became a handful, into drugs by 13, and sent off to a foster home when his parents couldn't deal with him anymore. Totally estranged from the family now, I don't know if he's dead or alive. All my other nieces and nephews have had no such problems.

Wasn't it a poet who said
"Candy is dandy
but liquor is quicker?"
Just askin'.

Aye... certain things can change our path in life...
we sit back and reflect how would we be different,
should we be? A question all ponder and the enlightened
as myself understand a life path and change...

Marvelous Ed...
